DC Chapter Holds Second Annual Alan B. Levenson Federal Litigation Symposium

The DC Chapter hosted the Second Annual Alan B. Levenson Symposium on Change ? Or Business as Usual on May 13, 2009, in the Ceremonial Courtroom of the U.S. Federal Courthouse in Washington, D.C.

The Symposium featured two panels:

Panel I. “What Judges Expect from Government Attorneys and the White Collar Defense Bar,” with discussion led by Chief Judge Royce C. Lamberth and Judges Thomas F. Hogan, Richard J. Leon, and Reggie B. Walton, of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia.

“The Causes of the Regulatory Failures leading up to the Present Financial and Regulatory Crisis and the Necessary Remediation Measures to Correct those Regulatory Failures,’ with discussion led by attorneys fromt he White Collar defense bar and former SEC and U.S. Department of Justice attorneys.

The Symposium was well-attended, and the D.C. Chapter would like to thank U.S. District Judge [retired] Stanley Sporkin and the Alan B. Levenson Foundation for their seminal support. D.C. Chapter Past President and current Board of Directors member Patricia D. Ryan coordinated the Symposium
