Update on January 10, 2010 from Jordi de Llano re St. Mary’s Center

The event was planned for the benefit of Mary’s Center, a non-profit organization that focuses on providing maternal and child healthcare services to immigrant families. Over $700 in donations came in, and we were able to donate over 88 gifts for the Mary’s Center client holiday party. We also provided food for the families, as well as volunteers to help distribute gifts and food.

Over 500 people showed up at Mary’s Center to see Santa, have a holiday meal, and walk out with a present  Several parents commented to us that this was the only gift their children received this year, which made all of our efforts all the more worthwhile.

The folks at Mary’s Center were incredibly thankful for all of our efforts and donations. Hopefully we can coordinate another great event like this in the future.
